About Us
Our History: Where It All Began…
Established in 1978. From humble beginnings to a mid-size full service market! Fred’s started back in 1972 as a small corner store on the corner of Dougall and Cabana. A few years later, in 1975 moved to 2144 Huron church as a small roadside stand. Another 3 years after in 1978 property was purchased at 3336 Huron Church rd. to continue as a roadside stand open only seasonally. Fred’s Farm Fresh was established and incorporated this year.
Years Later…
…a concrete block and mortar store was built and FRED’S became a year round establishment that also included grocery, delicatessen and garden centre. In Dec 2010 Fred’s Farm Fresh ended that chapter and closed their doors for good at that location due to the construction of the Herb Gray Parkway. In May of 2012 Fred’s re-opened their greenhouse 2.5km north up the road at its former location of 2144 Huron Church rd. In June of 2012 the entire store opened to the public. Offering more departments and more selections!
